Windmills and wine

A cake of the Winebus in the windmills.

I am in love with the windmills of La Mancha.
Some good friends think I am in love with the windmills of La Mancha. And it is right. They have prepared for me a cake representing the winebus and the windmills for my birthday. It was a cake and I was really enthusiastic at seeing such a piece of art that touched mi heart.

Then I became sad because we had to eat it. It was even more painful to eat my logo. But you know what? The cake was incredibly tasty. And I have found a way that something with a very short life as a cake is even more beautiful for its very short life. Much better than a car? Much better than a house? Well. I did not have to choose so I can say that it is much better 😊😊😊. A cake is saying to you you have to live just the present.

Thanks a lot for such a nice and original gift and a lot for remembering me that we have only this next second. Thanks a lot for finding a way that it does not end with just eating it (with a picture) I will keep it in my memory …. and in my Instagram pictures. 😊😊😊 Remember that #everythingisbetterwithaglassofwineinhand. Cheers my friends! 😊😊😊

As I said I am in love with the windmills and Don Quixote.

Don Quijote Tours

I do not know what the experience you had with Don Quixote has been but I am going to tell you mine.

When I was a child I did not like the book of Don Quixote. In the school they compulsed us to read it when we were 9 or 10 years old. The book for a child of that age was unbearable. A man who was a mad knight of La Mancha. I did not like it at all.

I was born in Madrid. We, people in Madrid think that we have everything except one thing. Here there is no beach. And we were so conscious of that that a song became famous ‘aqui no hay playa’. So we were all eager to go in summer to the beach. And Alicante was only  260 miles and many people of Madrid found that it was worth to go to the beach to Alicante. Some other decided to go to Malaga which is 400 miles away.

In any case we were crossing La Mancha not paying any attention to what could be in there.

Are the windmills of Don Quixote as romantic as the gondolas in Venice?
